At Ocean-Spring Watermakers we made it our mission to help other sailors getting a watermaker of the highest quality with the best value for money. As a mechanical engineer and passionate sailor, my thoughts always revolve around the technology on board. Having crossed the Atlantic twice on a round trip to the Caribbean I know the value of having a reliable water source and how annoying it can be if you cannot help yourself.
On my sailing trip I repeatedly had problems with my old watermaker onboard. Troubleshooting why fresh water was no longer coming out of the device was sometimes time-consuming and a guess work due to the lack of displays. Manufacturer-specific special parts were always necessary, which could only be obtained from official service partners. Annoyed by the influence of logistics and the tedious troubleshooting on my trip planning, I began talking more and more with other sailors about their systems and compared them. Many a time I’ve wondered why there are sometimes extreme price differences for almost identical products or what experiments many people try to do in order to initially save money. So I have made it my mission to offer a product that is not an experiment in quality and installation appearance but is still available at a reasonable price. Ocean-Spring Watermakers was born having a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
